What you choose to share

The signup form collects your email address, optional name, and optional mobile number. We record the consent wording you accepted, your selected channels and membership-offer interests, signup time, and later opt-outs. We use a short-lived hash of a network address to limit repeated submissions; it is not used for advertising profiles.

Why we use it

We use this information to maintain the Brick Finder™ launch list and send the launch announcement and future promotions through the channels you agree to. A signup does not create an app account, buy a membership, or reserve a Founder spot. Downloading the app will not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

Storage and access

The website’s contact records are stored on our IONOS-hosted server, in a database administered by Brick Finder™. The owner-only contact list is restricted to the site owner. We do not sell the signup list. Service providers used to deliver messages may process the contact details needed for that purpose.

Your choices

Name and mobile number are optional. Text-message consent is separate from email consent. Use the preferences link shown after a new signup, the unsubscribe link in an email, or reply STOP to a marketing text to stop messages. You can withdraw consent without affecting app access or membership.

Brick Studio™ on the website

When you save a build, a minifig or a room in Brick Studio™ on this website, a copy is kept on our server under an anonymous keep code (like BRICK-K7Q2-M9XD), so your creations are not lost if your browser is closed or cleared and you can bring them into the Brick Finder™ app. We keep only the creations and the code: no name, email address or account. Anyone who has your code can open those creations, so share it only with people you trust. Copies are deleted 12 months after they were last saved or brought into the app.

Website accounts and referrals

If you choose to create a website account, we store your name, email address, a password hash, verification status and security/session records. Account verification and password-reset messages are service emails; creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing. When the referral program opens, we use your personal code, referral attribution, verified purchase status, qualification dates and reward history to show your private progress and deliver membership rewards. We do not show other members’ names or purchases in your tracker.

Account and referral records are stored separately from the launch list and anonymous Brick Studio keep codes. Payment providers process payments; we do not store card numbers. Email delivery providers receive the address and message needed for service emails. Website account deletion removes your profile, collection backup, verification tokens and queued account emails. Minimal pseudonymous purchase/referral audit references may remain for refund reconciliation and fraud prevention. Contact info@brickfinderapp.com for access, correction or deletion requests. Store subscriptions remain managed by the store that bills you.

Website traffic counts

We count page views on our main website pages using our own server. The public footer shows the running total; the owner dashboard shows daily totals and popular pages. Repeat views count, so this is not a count of individual people. Known bots and browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are excluded where detected. This aggregate counter uses no analytics cookies or persistent browser identifiers. Optional visit analytics are described separately below. The statistics database stores only daily page totals, with individual model and referral identifiers removed; this aggregate counter does not store names, emails, query strings, referrers or raw network addresses. A short-lived in-memory address hash limits abuse and is cleared each hour or on restart. Ordinary server access logs remain separate from these aggregate statistics.

Website visit analytics

We use Matomo on our own Brick Finder server to understand website visits, pages, link/button categories, campaign tags, referring websites, device/browser categories, approximate network location and time spent. The application, database and offline location lookup run on our server. We do not send visit analytics to an outside analytics service. We do not record form contents, names, email addresses or account IDs in visit analytics. Tracked page URLs contain only approved campaign tags; referring-page query strings are removed. IP addresses are masked before storage. Network location is approximate and can be wrong; it is not a home address or GPS location. IP Geolocation by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Website measurement runs without an automatic pop-up. We do not use analytics cookies, store a visitor ID in browser storage, or probe browser features. Matomo uses a daily-changing server-side technical signature to group requests on this website; visit counts are estimates, not identified people. These pseudonymous records are not shared for cross-site advertising. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and an existing analytics opt-out stop this optional measurement. Use the control here or the Analytics privacy settings link at the foot of the website to turn it off or on. Only a choice you make is saved in local storage. Turning measurement off stops future collection; earlier statistics are not automatically erased. Detailed visit logs are retained for up to 90 days, aggregate reports for comparisons, and private rolling backups for up to 14 additional days. Tagged links identify campaigns, not individual email recipients. Visit analytics are not matched to account records. Ordinary server access logs remain separate.

Retention and requests

We keep contact details while maintaining your subscription. After an opt-out, we retain the minimum consent and suppression records needed to honor it and document your choice. To request access, correction, or deletion, email info@brickfinderapp.com.
